SUNDAY EDIT R.E.P.O.R.T
what I've been reading, what I've been eating, how I've been playing, what I'm obsessing about, what I'm recommending, my new go-to winter sweet treat!
Hi loves Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. We had some beautiful weather after a gloomy rainy and windy week!!! I also had such a fun eventful but still slow week. Lots to catch up on and wanted to share a piece of me with you. Let’s get into it!

WHAT HAVE I BEEN READING:

Started and finished “The Graham Effect” by Elle Kennedy
It’s the first book in a new series and a spin-off of the books on the right
“Graham Effect” was about 500 pages but an easy read
I love how Elle Kennedy chose to write and complete stories from the series on the right
The series on the right is an amazing read
Finished within 2 weeks, I coulnt’t put them down
Based on a group of hockey players based in Boston who are going to college and all meet the love of their lives
“The Legacy” dove into all the character’s lives after college
AND “The Graham Effect” takes place after they graduate and are older in life (aka their kids)
Light, easy, cheezy, loveable

WHAT I’VE BEEN EATING:

I have been EATING GOOD!! In past newsletters, I’ve shared my desire to get back and make all my food from scratch. I suffer from bad body inflammation and my body tends to not feel its best when eating processed foods and yes including chips. And as I’ve been learning more about how much lead is in our food I just can’t stomach buying those foods again. That doesn’t mean I’ll never eat them BUT just choosing to eat a low-inflammatory diet to feel my best!
Recent Dinners:
Top Left— Katsu Tofu with Bone Broth Rice, Homemade Spicy Mayo, with a Pickled Cucumber salad
Top Right— Riley made us girls dinner for Galentines Night and made us this very yummy soup & bread (friends who also love to eat healthy healing foods»)
Bottom Left— Korean Beef Bowl with Bone Broth Rice
Bottom Right— Super Bowl Sunday Loaded Sausages
I will share a newsletter on all my current dinner favorites! Easy, minimal ingredients, quick, healing dinners :)

HOW I’VE BEEN PLAYING :
Last Monday my friend Riley as I mentioned above, invited some girls over for a little Galentines Girls Night! She made us a very yummy soup and bread and made some snail mail! The company of beautiful women, inside and out, is so good for the soul! She lives in the city and it was a beautiful rainy evening and had the best time.
I also uploaded a YouTube video today sharing a realistic winter day in my life and shared more of our Galentines Night! Watch it here!
Editing and creating videos is truly a passion for me. I’ve started to create a healthier relationship with creating content and now for me, there’s a process. Some days I will be very creative and the next I’ll be nose-deep in a book and the next day I’ll be busy cleaning.
As you know I started and finished a book this week and it makes my heart SINGGGGGG!!!! I love reading romantic books. I’m such a lover girl and love a good smut book hehe!
What would be a Sunday Edit without a deep dive into how I spend my Sundays!?? John and I have loved getting a coffee/matcha from Andytown on Geat HWY in the Outer Richmond / Outer Sunset in SF. We get our drinks and walk along the water. Today we decided to walk on the beach and little Jourdyn within me couldn’t help but smile. To then see the smile on John’s face as he’s taking photos made my heart so happy!!! Dreamed of a life like this!!!
O (obsessed)
WHAT I’VE BEEN OBSESSED WITH:
If you need a Dutch Oven I’ve been obsessed with this Smith & Clark 5qrt Dutch Oven! I love the pot, but also love cooking with it! It is game-changing when cooking anything. Don’t have a crock pot? you can make it in a Dutch Oven! Want to make soups or sourdough? Get a Dutch Oven. Seriously it’s amazing and still on sale for $49.99!!!

WHAT I RECOMMEND:
If you need a new laundry detergent here is my recommendation!! It’s simple, effective, non-toxic, and affordable!! You can purchase it anywhere and so happy I made the change!

MY WINTER SWEET TREAT:
You guys… these Brown Sugar Cookies are so simple and so damn good!
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
add vanilla & cinnamon if you would like (I did)
Method:
Preheat oven to 350* F
In a mixing bowl mix room-temperature butter and sugar until a creamy thick texture
Add vanilla and cinnamon ( about 2 tsp of vanilla and 1tsp of cinnamon but I eyeball it all)
Mix in flour until mixed
On parchment paper sprinkle some flour
Roll out the dough using a rolling pin or wine bottle (tip: place parchment paper over dough and roll on top of parchment paper)
Create a ball with your hands and place it 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Smash down with a fork
Sprinkle cinnamon on top
Cook for 12- 14 min
Remove from oven and set to cool for about 8 min
Enjoy!!
Hope you enjoyed this week’s newsletter, I’ll see you all on Wednesday!! Keep up to date on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok!
Ciao!
